What's in a Name?
The first seven years we held camps exclusively in Licking, MO. As we grew, the camps became too big to hold in such a small venue as Licking. Also, we are no longer a "team camp", but have structured our events as "shootouts". Nevertheless, we still refer to ourselves by the name that people around the Midwest have come to know us as, "Licking Summer Camp." A name like "Licking" is hard to forget!

Purpose
Our events are designed to provide you and your players an inexpensive, organized and competitive setting for off-season improvement.

Camp Philosophy
We started the Wildcat Summer Camps  sixteen years ago because we were as coaches tired of paying what we felt were outrageous fees to colleges coaches for camps that  were poorly run.  We felt that we could do a much better job at a much lower rate. Sixteen years later, we still feel the same.

Our camp is designed to provide you and your players an inexpensive, organized and  competitive setting for off-season improvement.

We work very hard to schedule you against teams of equal ability.  It does a team no good to come to a summer camp and win every game easily, nor is it a benefit to your teams development to lose every game.

Our Goal
Our goal is for you to walk out of the gym on Saturday evening saying that our camp is not only the most economical that you have ever attended, but also the very best.  If you have a problem, please allow us to try and fix it to your satisfaction.  We want you to be treated well and to feel like your selection of our camp is appreciated. If you are not shown courtesy and appreciation by any of our camp workers, supervisors, or referees; we want to know about it. We also want to know if employees of motels, restaurants, or anyone else in the community; does not make you feel welcome.  We want you to enjoy your experience in our community and we will do what ever it takes to make that a reality.

Cost
Cost is $280 per team in volleyball. You bring as many players as you desire, the cost stays the same. Considering the gifts we give to players and coaches, and the quality of competition available; we feel we offer the best value in the Midwest. Our cost for a team is less than what many colleges are charging for one player!

Multi-Team Discounts
If you enter more than one team in a camp, or if you attend multiple camps during the summer, we will provide you with $30 worth of free coupons to purchase camp attire, for each additional team you enter.

We can provide your entire summer program
Many schools use our camps exclusively for their entire summer program. For example, you can attend five camps, spaced throughout the summer and located at four different sites. Your team can play 35 to 55 matches against top flight competition of equal caliber to your squad. You can do this for a team total of $1375. In addition, for each camp, we supply each athlete with a free t-shirt and each coach with nice gifts. We also supply all necessary workers. Neither you, nor your players will have to keep score, time or officiate. All of this can be had for an average cost per player of $137.50 (based on a ten player roster). Where else could you play up to 55 matches in the summer for $137.50 per player? We state confidently that there is no better deal for summer volleyball in the Midwest!

Camp Format
Each team is guaranteed a minimum of seven games. Six pool play games will be played on Friday and Saturday morning. A single elimination tournament will be held on Saturday afternoon. Teams could play as many as ten games, depending on how far they advance in the tournament and how many teams and divisions there are.

MSHSAA Rules
Our Camps are in no way associated with any school district and meet all non-school standards of the MSHSAA by law 241.0. The procedure for play is a jamboree format. Athletes are allowed the opportunity to play competitive games in a non-school sanctioned setting. No specialized instruction by coaches is scheduled into the daily format. If your athletes are from a state other than Missouri, we suggest that you check with your state association.

Camp Extras

Coaches Book: We ask each coach to bring to camp with them an idea, drill, play etc. to contribute to our coaches book. At the end of the summer we will compile these ideas into a book and send a copy to each coach. This has been very popular. It is amazing what we can learn from each other!

T-Shirt & Coaches Gifts: Each player will receive a free t-shirt upon registration. All coaches will receive nice gifts in appreciation of your attendance.

All-Camp Team: An all-camp team will be chosen at the completion of each camp. This will include an MVP award. This information will be mailed to all college coaches in the six state area.

College Coaches: College Coaches are always welcome at our shootouts and many NCAA, NAIA and JUCO coaches do attend.
